5 people I follow on Twitter and why
5 People I follow on Twitter and Why
1. dealsplus - This is a GREAT one to follow. It always has the 411 on coupon codes, free samples, giveaways, and just overall GREAT DEALS!!
2. cnnbrk - CNN Breaking News... quite honestly.. with a 7 month old.. it's the only way I know ANYTHING is going on.
3. shondarhimes - Shonda Rhimes is the creator and writer of Grey's Anatomy and Private Practice. She answers a lot of fan questions... but is real careful to not give anything away!
4. RebeccaLobo - Rebecca Lobo is a woman's basketball comentator for ESPN. I started following her because I was a huge fan of her in the 90's when she played for UCONN... but now I find her postings about being a mom of 3 (with #4 on the way) the most entertaining.
5. Miranda_Lambert - She's funny....

Wisdom Teeth Siblings
I saw this on The Ellen Degeneres Show today... tooo funny! Although I can't seem to find the whole clip she played on the show... this clip is missing a funny part where the siblings thumb wrestle. ENJOY!
You can only keep 5 things you have. What will they be?
You can only keep 5 things you have. What will they be?
Lets assume that "people" in your life don't count and your home doesn't count... we are only talking about other material possessions.
That's a tough question, at least for a pack rat like me.... but I will attempt.
1. My Cal Ripken autographed baseball.
2. My Wedding Album. Although my photographer told me if there is ever a house fire to leave the album behind because he can recreate it.
3. My external hard drive. My life is on that hard drive.
4. My car. How else would I get around
5. Thatcher's car seat.
That was the 1st list I came up with... then I realized... maybe this question is a little more literal. ONLY 5 things... so I tried again.
1. A t-shirt
2. My favorite pair of jeans
3. A pair of underwear ( I can do without a bra)
4. A pair of flip flops
5. Toothbrush
Man this is hard.... After I dressed myself that only left me with one item... and what good is a toothbrush with out toothpaste?!?
So now lets assume the clothes you wear don't count... then what would your 5 items be?
1. Toothbrush
2. Toothpaste
3. Toilet paper
4. My bed
5. A pillow
Ugh.... it's a good thing we don't REALLY have to choose 5 things! I could never do it! Even with that last list... I still feel like I need at least a blanket.
What's your interpretation? What's your 5 things? I am curious to know what's "important" to others and what I may have overlooked.

Mommy Deals
Though my Internet travels of talking (or lurking) on message boards I have come across some neat "Baby Deals" sites. Think Woot... but for kids stuff!
For you crunchy mammas try this site. They post one Eco-friendly bargain per day.
This site sells one baby or maternity item per day at 50-80% off until sold out.
Lastly this site offers more of the high end items for babies, kids and moms on sale up to 70% off retail price and each featured store gets a 3 day rotation on the site. This site requires membership/registration which is free.
I've yet to buy anything off any of these sites but they come highly recomending by "friends" on the message boards.
EDIT: Here are a few more sites thanks to my message board friends

Taylor vs. Kanye
I didn't watch the VMA's this year but I have been hearing all the buzz surrounding Taylor Swift's performance. Most of you probably know by now that Kanye West interrupted her acceptance speech at the 2009 VMA's. I'm not a fan of Kanye and wasn't really surprised at the holier than thou attitude he had that night. Kayne appologized and I think the jury was out as to whether Taylor ever accepted the apology. DRAMA. Anyway fast forward a year and BOTH were scheduled to perform at this year's VMA's. I heard via Ryan Seacrest's twitter that Taylor hummed her sound check so at that point we all knew something was up. I googled it today and found this article. Decide for yourself, but that performance sure sounds like a pretty good apology to me. For a 21 year old dealing with a 12 year old stuck in a 32 year olds body I think she handled herself properly. Enough of the drama already... Do we really care? Okay... maybe a little!

TEEN MOM
I love this show... but let's face it, it's the same thing every week. Amber and Gary fight, Tyler and Catelynn struggle with their adoption decision, Maci goes to Nashville and talks about moving there, and Farrah... well... she does what Farrah does. Please find us some new story lines to follow or maybe it's time to just hang it up with this group of young parents. I'd hate to see it go... but give me something worth watching!!

The Journey Begins
My Blog. Blame it on my husband, it's his fault. I'm 30, I'm a wife, I'm a mom, I'm a sports fan, I watch Saved By The Bell reruns, I know who The Wonder Pets are (and love them), and I am addicted to MTV reality shows. I DVR ABC's The View, Grey's Anatomy is an obession of mine, and I think the new 90210 is no where as good as the old one but I still watch it. I am amazed every day at the little things that my 6 month old does, and I feel blessed that he was given to us. He makes me smile, he makes me nervous, but most of all he makes me tired. On paper my husband and I couldn't be more different but those who know us know we are very much alike. He is my best friend. I live just on the other side of the same town I grew up in, although if you ask my mother, I live in Indonesia. I went to college, but I have never used my degree. I wish I was a better housekeeper and I love Reese's peanut butter cups. That's me. This is my Blog. Let the journey begin.
